Grab your golden hour

One daily golden hour dedicated to strategic actions and consistently applied, will transform your life

I found myself mid-weight training session (of all places!) thinking about the floods in Texas, the situation in Ukraine, and the looming volcanic activity in New Zealand. It struck me how easy it is to get swept up in events that, while important, have very little to do with our personal goals.

Social media thrives on our attention, and it’s brilliant at hijacking it. In moments, we can lose focus, sidetracked from what really matters to us: our purpose, our goals, our impact.

I really hate that feeling. So this week, I pulled myself back onto my power path by re-committing to my Golden Hour.

Done right, the Golden Hour is like vitamins for the soul and power tools for your life. It cuts through the noise and puts me firmly back on track towards my goals in work, family, and self.

Let me share my go-to strategy for creating momentum and feeling great:

  1. Set aside the first waking hour of each day. I do this 6 days a week, Saturday is my recharge day.

2. Use that hour only for your most important, strategic work. No emails. No admin. No socials. Just deep, game-changing focus.

3. Prioritise one life domain – work, relationships, or self. Maybe it’s a franchise expansion, a swim squad, or learning AI.
4. Write down your 3-month goals – and the date you’ll hit them.
5. Stick to it. Watch how fast you move when you begin every day with clarity and intention. You might just finish early and have time to celebrate.

There are few things more motivating than achieving something meaningful, before the world has even had its first coffee. Your Golden Hour can be your win for the day. Stack up those wins daily, and you will build a life that’s both transformed and transformative.

So here’s my ask:
What’s your Golden Strategy for making the most of your day? I’d love to learn from you.

Have a great week!
