Not all grandmothers knit

“Some of us are closing deals, swimming oceans, and mentoring the next generation of changemakers.

Let’s get one thing straight: Not all grandmothers wear aprons and whisper sweet nothings while the stew bubbles on the stove.

Some of us are closing deals, starting businesses, swimming oceans, and mentoring the next generation of changemakers. Some of us are raising their voices, not their knitting needles.

Because here’s the truth no one talks about enough: A woman in her 50s might just be unleashing her full potential, and those of us in their 60s and 70s aren’t fading, we are ripening! Our roots run deep, our reach is wider, and our influence? That’s only just catching fire.

This is the era of the modern matriarch. She’s not defined by age, but by impact. Not reduced to the sidelines, but rising to new summits of relevance, connection, and leadership.

Yes, she may have grandchildren. And she loves them fiercely. But she’s also got a global vision, a startup on the side, and a soul that refuses to shrink into invisibility.

She’s visible. Valuable. Vibrant. And she’s just getting started.

So next time someone says, “You don’t look like a grandmother,”  smile, and say: “Thank you. I don’t act like one either.”

Have a wonderful week!
