More than ever these days, making an impact in the world is less about intelligence and qualifications and more about the people and partnerships you gather around you. A network of people who know, like and trust you can open hundreds, if not thousands of opportunities. Some people have a natural talent at attracting and nurturing followers, while others have to work at it.

  1. Be Fun. Bring the energy of fun and a sense of adventure. Lead the way with a smile and an enthusiasm that is irresistible to others.  
  1. Be Friendly. Be approachable and easy to talk to. Make people feel good when they are around you by listening intently and with care. Be the person others want to spend time with. 
  1. Be inFormative. Be the source of information that is of unique value to others. Be the ‘hunter gatherer’ of knowledge. Share your unique insights and original thinking so you become the ‘go-to person’ for cutting-edge ideas.
