The fork in the road

“Choose to take the fork in the road that solves your midnight anxieties not the one that tempts you to run and hide”

The fork in the road
Swinging Christmas

One of the challenges that we all struggle with is keeping on track with the work that we really need to get done in order to make progress. It’s easy to slip past these items on the to do list and slide into the easy stuff, that keeps us busy but not really going anywhere.

In my case, having had a month of family excitement and two weddings I am conscious of the things that have slipped off my own to-do list and which now sit churning in the background causing me midnight stress attacks.

The question is always though, what to do about it? And here we really have only two choices.  Like the proverbial fork in the road we can take the left-hand fork and continue to ignore things telling ourselves ‘I need a break’ or we can take the right-hand fork, face the challenge head on, and do the work that needs to be done.

In my experience facing the challenge and getting the work done is the best way to move back into the road to harmony. It’s in facing the challenge that we feel good about ourselves and get back on track to reach our dreams.

So today I am taking the road to harmony, via the tricky things on my to-do list. I’m choosing the fork in the road that solves my midnight anxieties not the one that tempts me to run and hide.

Here’s hoping you are inspired to do the same!
